Our firm's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Initiative seeks to attract, retain, and champion top-flight legal talent. By doing so, we are able to maintain a culture of equality and support, strengthen the firm and community, and fuel improved performance and results for our clients.
At McGonigle, P.C., Diversity, Equity & Inclusion starts with the ABCs. "A" stands for "advancement for all" that is based on the mentoring and sponsoring of the next generation of attorneys who will carry the firm’s mantle. "B" stands for "business that is inclusive" and promotes leaders from a wide range of backgrounds at all levels of management. "C" stands for "community outreach" that encourages our attorneys to collaborate on projects that leave a lasting social footprint.
McGonigle, P.C. is pleased to announce that Partner Lisa Weingarten Richards was selected as a 2022 Fellow by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity ("LCLD"), and Associates Margaret Haggerty and Ella Markina have been selected to participate in the Pathfinders Program.
Elizabeth Lan Davis, Chair of the financial services law firm Murphy & McGonigle, has been selected as an honoree in the Washington Business Journal’s 2021 "Women Who Mean Business" Awards. Each year, the Washington Business Journal recognizes 25 women in the DC Metro area to receive the award.
Financial services law firm Murphy & McGonigle will serve as a sponsor of the "Women, Diversity & Change on Wall Street" virtual summit. Katherine McGrail, the firm’s Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer, will be speaking on the panel, "Representation: Diversifying the Talent Pipeline at Every Level." This panel takes place from 10:15 am to 11 am ET on October 6.
Sharon O’Shaughnessy, a member of the White Collar Defense Investigations & Compliance Counseling Practice, has been selected to the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) 2021 Fellows Program.
Elizabeth Lan Davis, a shareholder in Murphy & McGonigle’s Washington, DC office, has been selected to the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) 2020 Fellows Program. The program recognizes attorneys with distinguished leadership capacity from diverse backgrounds. LCLD is comprised of over 320 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who serve as mentors and leaders dedicated to fostering diversity.
